Chapter 8 - JULIAN HAD HIS OWN SECRETElise’s crime did not make Julian innocent of everything.

The patent investigation reopened.

And it revealed something uncomfortable.

Caleb Morrison and Elise’s brother, Noah, had contributed more to the early allergen sensor than Vale’s patent filings acknowledged.

Julian had known.

He did not steal the entire invention.

But he allowed corporate counsel to minimize Noah’s contribution during a dispute.

Why?

Because Vale was fundraising.

Recognition could complicate ownership.

Again.

A delay.

A convenient omission.

Noah’s career collapsed partly because of separate data-integrity issues he genuinely committed.

Vale had not fabricated all allegations.

But Julian had still benefited from an incomplete narrative.

That mattered.

Elise’s attempted attack did not erase Julian’s ethical failure.
