Given donor sensitivity, recommend restorative conversation rather than formal suspension.
Again.
And again.
And again.
Sometimes Benton agreed.
Sometimes he pushed back.
Sometimes Crowe closed cases before they reached him.
That became his failure.
Not active conspiracy.
Insufficient oversight.
He admitted it.
“I delegated discipline because I thought Dana was experienced.”
Simone asked:
“After how many complaints should you have verified?”
Benton looked down.
“Far fewer than this.”
Good.
No heroic principal immunity.
Kaia had respected him.
