Chapter 7 - Arthur Walked AgainArthur pulled himself upright.

The pain was incredible.

His legs shook.

But they held.

He looked at Grace.

The baby was crying.

“It's okay.”

He lifted her.

Then took one step.

Another.

The smoke thickened.

Arthur stumbled.

But he kept going.

He reached the emergency exit.

Ethan was waiting.

“Dad!”

Arthur froze.

The word hit him harder than anything.

Dad.

He had waited thirty years to hear it from his son.

Ethan rushed toward him.

Arthur handed him Grace.

Then collapsed against the wall.

Police entered seconds later.

Samuel was arrested.

Victor surrendered.

The facility was evacuated.

And the research was recovered.

But there was still one unanswered question.

Who had told Lydia about Arthur's accident?

The answer came from a hidden file.

Eleanor.

She had known Arthur would eventually recover.

She had protected the family by hiding the research.

She had separated Ethan from Arthur.

She had raised Grace's mother in secret.

She had orchestrated the entire chain of events.

Not because she wanted control.

Because she believed Arthur's enemies would kill them all.

Arthur returned home with Ethan and Grace.

The mansion felt different.

For the first time, it wasn't empty.

It was full of life.

Ethan sat in the living room.

Grace slept in his arms.

Arthur watched them.

“I missed thirty years.”

Ethan looked at him.

“You didn't know.”

“I should have found you.”

“You were lied to.”

Arthur nodded.

“So were you.”

Ethan smiled.

“Then we start now.”

May you like

Arthur smiled back.

“Yes.”
