He denied much.
Admitted some.
Eventually the evidence established enough.
Mara’s name was formally cleared in company records.
That mattered more to me than Douglas becoming poor.
He did not.
Even after restitution exposure, he retained retirement assets and property subject to law.
Punishment did not need mythology.
The company issued a correction to former employees:
Mara Whitmore was not responsible for the vendor diversion previously attributed to her.
I read that sentence aloud at her memorial.
