Chapter 13 - THE LAST SECRET
We thought everything was finished.
Then Anna discovered one final document.
A letter from my grandfather.
It explained why he had created the trust.
He had watched his own family destroy itself over money.
He wanted the next generation to have a choice.
The fortune would belong to the heirs.
But the real inheritance was responsibility.
The final line said:
If the family ever reunites, use what you inherited to make sure another family does not suffer what ours did.
I read it several times.
Then looked at my siblings.
Claire smiled.
Anna nodded.
Daniel wiped his eyes.
We already knew what we would do.
We transferred most of the fortune into the foundation.
The remaining assets were divided fairly.
No one controlled another person.
