Chapter 4 - THE DOCTOR WHO HELPED BURY THE TRUTHThe doctor’s name was Henry Lawson.

For six months, Adrian believed Henry was one of the few people who truly helped his family.
He attended Claire’s funeral.
He comforted Ethan.
He told Adrian:
“Sometimes life is cruel.”
Now Adrian discovered something impossible.
Henry Lawson had lied.
The investigator found him living under a different name.
A small town.
A quiet life.
No medical license.
No public records.
Like someone hiding.
Adrian arrived at his house before sunrise.
Henry opened the door.
And immediately knew why he was there.
“You found me.”
Adrian stared.
“You knew I would.”
Henry sighed.
“Yes.”
“Why?”
The old doctor looked away.
“Because Claire was right.”
Adrian froze.
“What did you say?”
Henry whispered:
“She knew someone would eventually discover the truth.”
Inside the house, Henry confessed.
Claire did not die in the accident.
She survived.
At first.
“She called me.”
Adrian’s hands tightened.
“When?”
“The night of the crash.”
“Why didn’t you save her?”
Henry looked broken.
“Because I was threatened.”
“By who?”
Henry looked at him.
“Victoria.”
Adrian felt anger rise.
“What did she threaten?”
Henry swallowed.
“Your son.”
Victoria had discovered Claire knew too much.
She knew about the inheritance.
She knew about Charles.
She knew Ethan was the only person standing between them and complete control.
So Victoria created a plan.
Remove Claire.
Control Ethan.
Wait until Ethan became old enough to transfer the trust.
But Claire had one advantage.
She knew Ethan.
She knew Adrian.
She knew that one day…
the truth would surface.
So she left evidence everywhere.
The necklace.
The videos.
The hidden files.
Everything.
Henry gave Adrian one final piece of evidence.
A recording.
Victoria’s voice.
Clear.
Cold.
“She is only a child. He will forget her.”
Adrian froze.
“She will never know the truth.”
The recording continued.
“He only needs one parent.”
A pause.
“Me.”
Adrian closed his eyes.
Because now he understood.
Victoria did not want to replace Claire.
She wanted to erase her.
And erase every memory Ethan had of his mother.
That night, Adrian returned home.
Victoria was waiting.
“You look different.”
Adrian looked at her.
“I know what happened.”
She became still.
“What?”
“I know about Claire.”
For the first time…
Victoria looked afraid.
Adrian stepped closer.
“You took my wife from my son.”
Victoria whispered:
“You don’t understand.”
“No.”
His voice became cold.
“I understand everything.”
Victoria smiled suddenly.
A strange calm smile.
“You think you won?”
Adrian frowned.
“What?”
She walked toward the window.
“You still don’t know the biggest secret.”
“What secret?”
Victoria looked back.
“Ethan’s inheritance was never the real target.”
Adrian froze.
“Then what was?”
Victoria smiled.
“Your company.”
“Impossible.”
“No.”
She shook her head.
“Because your son is not just the beneficiary.”
A pause.
“He is the controlling shareholder.”
Adrian’s expression changed.
Because if Victoria was telling the truth…
Ethan did not just inherit money.
May you like
He inherited power.
And someone had spent years trying to control a five-year-old child.
