Chapter 8 - THE THREE DAYS CLAIRE DISAPPEAREDAdrian could not breathe.

Three days.

Claire survived for three days after the crash.

Three days where someone could have saved her.

Three days where someone decided not to.

The accident was not the end.

It was only the beginning.

The hospital record revealed Claire had been transported to a private medical facility.

Not a public hospital.

Not the place everyone believed.

A secret clinic owned by a company connected to Victoria’s family.

Adrian stared at the documents.

They had not simply hidden the accident.

They controlled what happened afterward.

Detective Marcus found the missing records.

And one name appeared repeatedly.

Dr. Henry Lawson.

The same doctor who signed Claire’s original report.

The same man who disappeared.

The same man who helped cover everything.

Adrian confronted Henry again.

This time, there was nowhere left to hide.

“Tell me what happened.”

Henry broke down.

“I tried to save her.”

“Then why did she die?”

Henry looked away.

“Because someone stopped me.”

“Who?”

A long silence.

Then:

“Your father.”

Adrian felt crushed.

Even though he already knew his father was involved…

he was not prepared to hear it.

“What did he do?”

Henry explained.

William arrived at the clinic after Claire was brought in.

He knew she was alive.

He knew she could expose everything.

And he made a choice.

A terrible choice.

But then Henry revealed something unexpected.

William changed his mind.

At the last moment, he tried to protect Claire.

He secretly moved her medical records.

He tried to contact Adrian.

But he was too late.

Someone else discovered his plan.

Someone inside the clinic.

Someone who wanted Claire gone permanently.

“Who?”

Henry looked at Adrian.

“Victoria.”

Adrian finally understood.

Victoria was not just cleaning up a problem.

She was finishing a mission that started years before.

She wanted Claire gone.

She wanted Ethan isolated.

She wanted control.

But Victoria made one mistake.

She underestimated Ethan.

The child she ignored.

The child she thought was too young to understand.

The child who remembered everything.

Adrian returned home.

Ethan was drawing again.

This time, he drew something different.

A woman.

A car.

A road.

And another person standing nearby.

Adrian looked closer.

“Who is that?”

Ethan whispered:

“Her.”

“Who?”

“Victoria.”

Adrian froze.

“Ethan…”

The boy looked afraid.

“She was there when Mommy fell asleep.”

Adrian’s heart stopped.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

Ethan looked down.

“Because she said nobody would believe me.”

Adrian hugged his son.

And for the first time, he understood.

Ethan was never just a witness.

He was the missing piece.

That night, Adrian prepared his final move.

Not against Victoria.

Against everyone.

He created a legal case that would expose every person involved.

No more secrets.

No more hidden deals.

No more protecting the family name.

But before he could finish…

his security system sent an alert.

Someone had entered the mansion.

Adrian checked the camera.

And froze.

May you like

Because the person standing in his house…

was someone everyone believed was dead.
