Chapter 6 - EVAN SAID IT WAS JUST ESTATE PLANNINGEvan Cooper was a licensed attorney.

He should have known better.

He did know better.

That made his role worse.

At first, he claimed he believed I authorized the restructuring.

Then investigators showed him the video of Claire practicing my signature.

His story changed.

He said:

“It was only a model signature.”

Then the swapped document schedules surfaced.

His story changed again.

Finally, he admitted Ryan asked him to prepare a contingency plan.

If I signed financing paperwork without reviewing every attachment, they would substitute a trust authorization page.

The filing would then be used to pressure trustees into recognizing a new governance structure.

Would it ultimately work?

Probably not.

But litigation could freeze company control for months.

During that time, Ryan planned to force a settlement.

Not theft in one dramatic moment.

Leverage.

Make the legal mess expensive enough that I gave him something to end it.

Claire would receive a marital security package.

Patricia believed her daughter would finally be protected.

Everyone had a justification.

That was the terrifying part.

Nobody sat around saying:

Let’s become villains.

They said:

We deserve more.

Daniel has too much.

The trust is unfair.

Emma won’t need all that money.

We’re just correcting things.

Human beings can justify almost anything once they rename greed fairness.
