Chapter 15 - THE TRUST CHANGED ANYWAYMom did something surprising.

She changed the trust.

Not because Lauren and Victoria almost succeeded.

Because the crisis exposed too much family concentration.

I remained co-trustee only temporarily.

Then professional fiduciaries took larger roles.

Lauren lost discretionary governance access.

My sons remained beneficiaries.

But no automatic executive positions.

Employee ownership expanded.

No spouse-controlled voting.

No family member could remove trustees alone.

Mom said:

“Money should be boring.”

I laughed.

“That’s your legacy?”
