It didn’t happen that way.
Brooke was removed from campus temporarily while the independent review proceeded.
Interviews happened.
Records were checked.
Other students were questioned.
Context mattered.
Evidence mattered.
Then the panel issued its decision.
Brooke had engaged in repeated targeted harassment, retaliated against students who reported her, and participated in degrading behavior over multiple semesters.
She was expelled.
Madison received a long suspension and ultimately transferred.
Other students received different consequences based on their conduct.
Not everybody was treated as equally guilty.
That mattered.
Charles appealed Brooke’s expulsion.
He lost.
Then he threatened to withdraw a major donation.
The board accepted.
That surprised him.
The science-lab expansion was delayed.
The school lost money.
Some parents were angry.
Dad said:
“If our safety rules survive only when donors approve of them, they aren’t rules.”
That quote eventually reached the local newspaper.
