“Because Luke loves this house.”
I laughed.
“I do?”
“You kept the old treehouse.”
“That proves nothing.”
She smiled.
Then Mom said:
“The will can change again.”
That terrified everyone for a second.
She laughed.
“Relax.”
Eventually, the house was placed into a family-use trust.
Not one person’s property.
Emily kept the right to live there.
So did I during designated periods.
Future grandchildren could use it.
No sale without independent approval.
