Chapter 11 - THE DIVORCE DIDN’T MAKE THE BOYS ENEMIESThe divorce was ugly.

But I refused one thing.

No competition between the boys.

No:

Noah won.

Mason lost.

Noah remained in his trust.

Mason’s future support was addressed separately through Vanessa, his father, and assets I had voluntarily set aside over the years.

Not because I owed him inheritance.

Because I had helped raise him and cared about him.

The trust did not force that.

Love did.

Noah once asked:

“Did Mason get less because his mom hurt me?”

“No.”

“Good.”

That answer surprised me.

“Why good?”

“Because then we’d be doing the same thing.”

I stared.

“What same thing?”

“Making him lose because of family.”
