Chapter 7 - OLIVIA REALIZED HER FRIENDS HAD TURNED ON HERBy that afternoon, cafeteria videos were everywhere.
Students who once laughed with Olivia started sending recordings to investigators.
Why?
Because the protection had broken.
That’s how systems like hers often work.
People participate while power looks permanent.
Then one crack appears.
Suddenly everyone remembers what they saw.
A sophomore submitted footage of Olivia destroying Sofia’s art project.
Another sent a voice memo.
Olivia:
“No teacher is going to take your word over mine.”
Another showed Olivia telling Daniel Park:
“My dad pays for this place. Yours probably pays taxes.”
The videos became impossible to dismiss.
Olivia’s friends started distancing themselves.
