James looked at him.

“You knew.”

“You knew about David?”
James sighed.
“I knew he was getting close.”

“You knew he was in danger.”
James did not deny it.
“Yes.”
Daniel stared at him.
“You let it happen.”
James looked at the old documents.
“Sometimes sacrifices are necessary.”
Daniel almost laughed.
“You sound exactly like Richard.”
James smiled.
“That is because Richard learned from us.”
The truth finally came out.
James had been controlling everything.
Richard believed he was leading the revenge.
Victor believed he was building a new empire.
Sarah believed she was following her father.
But all of them were being used.
James had spent decades planning.
His goal was simple.
Destroy every branch of the Carter family.
Then take complete control.
“Why?”
Daniel asked.
James looked around the old estate.
“Because this family ruined mine.”
“You mean Edward?”
James nodded.
“My father lost everything because of Thomas Carter.”
Daniel shook his head.
“So you destroyed innocent people?”
James’s expression hardened.
“Innocent?”
He laughed.
“No one in this family is innocent.”
Daniel realized something.
James was not angry.

The same way Richard had.

James stepped closer.

Daniel said nothing.
“You still believe love matters.”

Daniel looked at him.
“No.”
James frowned.
“That is why you lost.”
Daniel revealed the truth.
He had not come alone.
Everything James said had been recorded.
Detective Marcus was already listening.
Police were surrounding the property.
For the first time…
James looked afraid.
“You planned this?”
Daniel nodded.
“I learned something from my father.”
“What?”
“Never underestimate someone who has nothing left to lose.”
James was arrested.
But before being taken away, he looked at Daniel.
“You think this ends with me?”
Daniel stopped.
James smiled.
“The Carter family was built on secrets.”
A pause.
“You can’t destroy something that has been rotten for generations.”
Months later, the trial began.
And the entire country watched.
Richard.
Victor.
James.
All exposed.
But Daniel saved the biggest evidence for last.
David’s final recording.
The one nobody had seen.

In the video, David looked directly at the camera.
“Dad.”
Daniel struggled not to cry.
“I know you will want revenge.”
David smiled sadly.
“But please remember something.”
“Don’t become them.”
Then David revealed the final truth.
He knew Sarah was being controlled.
He knew Richard was being manipulated.
He knew James was behind everything.
But he also knew something else.
James had one weakness.
His own pride.
David had secretly copied every document.
