I answered carefully.
“She raised Daddy.”
Lily frowned.
“But she’s not his tummy mommy?”
“No.”
“Then is she Grandma?”
“That depends on what relationship Daddy wants with her.”
Lily thought.
Then:
“Can someone be family and be mean?”
“Yes.”
“Can family be not allowed near me?”
My throat tightened.
“Yes.”
She nodded.
That was all she needed.
For the time being, Margaret had no contact with Lily.
Not because DNA removed her.
